MFA Greensboro Alum Travis Mulhauser to Teach a Fiction Workshop for The Hinge

Tuesday, February 7 2012 at 7:00PM-Tuesday, March 27 2012 at 9:00PM
The Hinge offers a fiction workshop with Travis Mulhauser. This workshop will meet once a week on Tuesdays, for eight weeks.

Here's a bit about the class:
This
eight-week workshop is designed for fiction writers interested in the
careful critique of their original work, and an ongoing dialogue on
craft and best practices.  Each class will center on the thoughtful
exploration of student’s short stories and/or novel excerpts.  We will
pay attention to structural and stylistic elements, and allow our
discussions to arise from the qualities and needs of the writing
itself.  Students will invest in each other’s prose and help cultivate a
workshop that will both strengthen existing work and give life to new
ideas.

Here's a bit about Travis:
Travis Mulhauser lives in Durham.  His first book is Greetings from Cutler County: A Novella and Stories,
published by the University of Michigan Press in 2005.  He has taught
fiction writing workshops at UNC-Chapel Hill, UNCG, and teaches English
at Johnston Community College.  He received his MFA in Fiction from
UNCG
, and has published stories in The Literary Review and other
journals.
