–Name a childhood hero.

I’m going to go with Reggie Jackson. I was a sports nut when I was a kid, and Reggie was my first sports idol. I still remember watching with something like awe as he blasted a home run off the light tower at Tiger Stadium during the 1971 all-star game.

–Name a work you wished you’d written

Let’s go with As I Lay Dying.
